Our Founders

William Tyson

Chief Executive Officer
After retiring in his early 50s, William Tyson desired to combine his interests of philanthropy, food, art, and wine together. Teaming up with his valued colleagues, they used these aspects to create not just the model of his dream restaurant, but the entirety of Artisan Dining Concepts, Inc. A company that aims to open and operate a series of boutique art gallery restaurants that invigorate guests with life, love, and consciousness.

Colin Stiles

Chief Operating Officer
Starting his career in Baltimore, Maryland, Colin Stiles spent over 15 years working his way through the restaurant industry at several levels. He worked hand-in-hand with successful restaurateurs, master sommeliers, and executive-chefs in prestigious hospitality groups such as Kali’s Mezze and Foreman-Wolf. Along with refining his skills in respected Charleston establishments such as Hall’s Chophouse and Hotel Bennett, he has spent the last seven years collaborating in making Artisan Dining Concepts, Inc. a reality.

Joe Palmitessa

Chief Executive Chef
After graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania as valedictorian of his class in the Academy of Culinary Art & Academy of Baking and Pastry, Joe Palmitessa began his career as a fine dining chef. He started at the Kiawah Island private banquets and as a Sous Chef at The Ocean Room and Hotel Bennett. He then moved on as Executive Chef of Fuyu Asian Fusion and Bumpa’s Restaurant. His journey has led to him achieving his dream of providing cohesive leadership with each of Artisan Design Concepts, Inc’s restaurants. A place where his approach to food as an artist and chemist can thrive.

John Boulanger

Executive Sous Chef
Having worked for multiple world-class restaurants and extraordinary chefs, such as the world-renowned Chef Daniel Boulud, John Boulanger has forged an impressive legacy and reputation in the world of fine dining. His abilities as a Sous Chef eventually led him to working with our Co-Founders Colin Stiles and Joe Palmitessa at Hotel Bennett. With this experience as well as Experience as a Sous Chef at DBGB and Epicerie Boulud, John is bringing his top-notch culinary voice to Artisan Design Concepts, Inc.
